Ever since, it’s been an absolute whirlwind of love, friendship, and exploration. For us, having a wedding is about celebrating the people who’ve made us who we are — who’ve built us into two people who have the capacity to love generously.

Although we live in New York, Wisconsin and the Midwest are common ground that have bonded us from the beginning. Coincidentally, Jake grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and Courtney went to college in Beloit, Wisconsin after growing up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. To the surprise of us both, Beloit College has emerged as a source of so many beautiful connections between us.

All of this made getting married in Wisconsin feel like the right choice. For some reason, our paths have drawn us together on this land and we’re blessed to be able to honor that with this celebration.

Dancing and music have been a huge part of our lives separately and as a couple. In that spirit, we would love if you attended our wedding with a dancing mindset!
